Clinical Supervision & Reflective Practice
About Ross

About me

I’m Ross Cormack, a UKCP-registered Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.

Background

My background spans youth and community work, specialist bereavement services, clinical leadership and independent psychotherapy practice.

I have more than 25 years’ experience working with children, young people and families.

My experience includes 14 years with a national bereavement charity and a former Clinical Lead role in an NHS-commissioned adolescent mental health service.

My particular interests include attachment, complex and developmental trauma, and how children express emotional distress—including its impact on families and the professionals supporting them.

Supervision experience

I have experience supervising therapists in school and charity settings, and facilitating reflective practice for youth and mental health organisations and teams supporting looked-after children.

My approach

My supervision draws on integrative psychotherapy, play and creative approaches, and attachment- and trauma-informed thinking. I place attachment relationships and the contexts of both children and practitioners at the centre of the work.

A supervisory relationship that matters.

Space to feel supported, think more freely and work carefully with what remains uncertain.

I aim to build a supervisory relationship where you can speak openly, feel supported and be challenged thoughtfully, with room to explore how our different experiences and perspectives shape the work.

Together, we identify your learning needs and shape supervision to support your clinical development and growth in practice.
